WHAT ARE
WE KNOWN FOR?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

OUR TECHNOLOGIES
Sodium-ion Batteries (Na-ion)
Almost all materials required in Li-ion batteries are mined outside India. In contrast, Sodium-based chemistry provides a significant economic opportunity to India as sodium is abundantly available in the form of salt. In fact, India is the third largest producer of sodium salt in the world.
However, performance of Na-ion batteries is limited as compared to Li-ion batteries for several intrinsic materials level issues that significantly affects the energy efficiency and the rate capability as well as cycle life. Rechargion-NIB addresses these critical issues through materials’ design to enable Na-ion batteries that are competitive in the energy market.
Lithium-Sulfur Batteries (Li-S)
It is now clear that there is an urgent need for new batteries that can provide EVs, including drones and 2/3/4 wheelers, with a higher driving range and improved safety characteristics at lower cost than the currently dominant Lead-acid or Li-ion batteries. To satisfy this need, we are developing Li-S batteries, the most promising alternative battery chemistry that is free from heavy metals and with the potential for a 3 to 5-fold improved energy density over Li-ion technologies at an acceptable weight.
We are exploiting the NCL team’s insight and expertise in rational electrode designs, the development of suitable sulfur host materials and improved electrolytes to address these issues in Li-S chemistry.
